I had the pleasure of photographing Matt’s proposal to Melissa down at the North End of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, in the shadow of Shell Island Resort. I positioned myself behind a dune while Matt led Melissa onto the beach until the time was right. He popped the question well after sunset, as a beautiful fog had surrounded them, filtering through the reds and pinks from the sky. Here are a few frames.
I scooted up the coast a few months back to photograph Michael and Lindsay’s Engagement Session in Emerald Isle. They made the drive from Greenville, NC where Michael is a Lawyer and Lindsay is an archeologist! They were super fun and relaxed, making for some awesome moments. Emerald Isle is such an awesome beach that I don’t get to visit as often as I’d like. We finished up just before sunset, so I scooted over to a public boat ramp to shoot the sunset. I’ve included those images as well.. Looking forward to seeing these guys again in September for their wedding.
These two just got hitched a few weeks ago. I’ve known Clay since we were in diapers hussling trapper-keepers and nike pumps. The least I could do for the ole chap is shoot some Engagement photos for them. This was a short session, just walking around the expansive North End of Wrightsville Beach, NC, in the shadows of Shell Island Resort. We hung out in dunes, walked the shoreline & ended up in the marsh. Here’s what we got. We were counting on a good sunset to cap off the session, that didn’t come to fruition, but I think we still came away with some winners. Being a groomman in their wedding, I wasn’t able to shoot their wedding images for them, but I did manage to obscurely follow them around shooting some video, you can find that final video at the bottom of this post.
